CCLS provides these primary services and programs:
Speech-language therapy programs provide monitored practice in speech/language skill development aiming towards spontaneous self-production of target skills in all situations. Therapy is designed in content, duration, focus and style for each client.
- Auditory- and Visually-based programs for clients with difficulty easily regulating attention, concentration, memory or with other information processing, reading or learning difficulties, emotional or behavioral problems, or delays in speech and language development.
- Integrated Speech-Language Therapy/Auditory Training for auditory processing (APD/CAPD) disorders to improve ability to more efficiently make sense of what is heard. Combining elements of a variety of sensory and perceptual based therapeutic listening programs for auditory training/retraining approaches to support improved focus and attention on salient features of incoming information.
- FastForWord assists clients to distinguish and process rapidly changing acoustic elements of speech sounds at a more normal rate needed for speech, language and reading development. Earobics provides comprehensive training in auditory processing and related skills. Direct 1:1 therapy to teach elements of auditory processing and related listening skills forms the basis of individually tailored therapy.
- Bio-tuning, brain entrainment, binaural beats and other bio-acoustic methodologies use precisely tuned sound frequencies and other stress-reducing, attention riveting biofeedback strategies to facilitate balance, relaxation and homeostasis in the central nervous system to support enhanced communication, concentration and learning abilities.
- Captain's Log Cognitive Rehabilitation Program aims to restore impaired cognitive functioning of individuals with attention deficit, learning disability or brain injury. This computer-based approach initially strengthens attention, concentration and memory skills and then works to enhance language and temporal-sequential skills. Higher level cognitive functions of reasoning, abstraction, and logical analysis are a third therapy component.
- Structure of the Intellect Multiple Intelligence's Assessment and Training Programs (SOI) examines abilities underlying reading, math and other areas requiring problem solving, memory, logical and creative thinking and evaluation of information. Prescribed training modules aim to strengthen underdeveloped learning area. SOI examines personal learning skills profiles and finds 'best fit' career.
- EEG Neurofeedback Training assists individuals with attention regulating disorders, with or without hyperactivity; learning disabilities; cognitive deficits; and speech and language disorders. This is a computer-aided technique which aims to normalize arousal and alertness levels, sensory information processing, memory organization, and cognitive processing. Quantitative analysis (QEEG) assists in diagnosis, provides a starting point for treatment, and documents progress.
- Play Attention is an integrated educational attention training system employing brainwave monitoring, cognitive skills exercises, and behavior shaping techniques. Protocols and methodology are trademarked as "Edufeedback." Feedback Play Attention uses includes many levels of learning. Similarity Play Attention has with traditional "neuro" and "bio" feedback techniques is that Play Attention offers the user an opportunity to view and learn from their attentive state in real-time. Play Attention specializes in building and transfer of cognitive skills and behaviors needed to be successful in the classroom, at work, and at home.
- Interactive Metronome Program (IM) provides a focused and systematic way to exercise motor planning and sequencing capacities within the brain in individuals with motor control problems; attention regulation; speech and language production; cognitive, learning, and social communication difficulties. IM has also been successfully used to reduce hypersensitivity to sound.
